Resolution is a concern if you are sitting fairly close to your monitor, at 27 inch, a 1440p isn't that bad. It's ideal as a pure content consumption display but you are taking a significant risk by using it for work (without having to compromise many of the productivity experience) Essentially I am asking whether I should prioritize the colors and response time of OLED, or if I should go for the high resolution of 4K especially since I am not much of an expert nor enthusiast.įYI this monitor is going to be used for my laptop(work and entertainment) and PS5.Īs a rule, you should not use an OLED on a mixed use workload. On the other hand I've found many 4k 27 inch gaming monitors going for much cheaper(I understand OLED is expensive, I am willing to pay the price). I wanted a 27 inch monitor and found the LG 27" Ultragear™ OLED QHD Gaming Monitor to be pretty good as it has OLED, however it is also only 1440p.
